SAN FERNANDO CITY – The Department of Education Regional Office I (DepEd RO1) through the Policy, Planning, and Research Division (PPRD) spearheaded the Year-End Assessment and Regional Planning Conference at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines on January 6-8, 2020.
The activity was attended by school division superintendents (SDS), assistant SDS, School Governance and Operations Division chiefs, planning officers, senior education program specialist for planning and research, chiefs of the different functional divisions, heads of units, and select supervisors of the region.
PPRD Chief Education Supervisor Cecilia Rosido cited the thrust of the region on the need to pivot from access to quality in support to the launching of DepEd’s Sulong Edukalidad which is fully emphasized by the Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Regional Director (RD) Tolentino G. Aquino.
The participants from the different schools division offices (SDO) presented their 2019 accomplishment reports and situational analysis focused on Edukalidad, the education situation which is geared towards quality as they address concerns and challenges.
Included in the presentation were accomplishment reports based on the key result areas along plans and budgets, basic education data and information system, capability building, technical assistance, education statistics, and research management.
The SDOs used dashboard in explaining situational analysis on access, efficiency and quality. Problematic segments were also shown and being addressed.
RD Aquino, assistant RD Ronald B. Castillo, and the chiefs of the different functional divisions served as the panel members during the presentation of outputs.
