Vigan City – A new division library hub, located in Ayusan Paoa Elementary School in the Heritage City of Vigan, is ready to welcome children and learners with hundreds of titles, from children’s books, reference materials, and learning resources.
“With this library, we hope that our children would learn to love books and help improve their reading level and improve the quality of education,” Director Estela P. Leon-Carino said in her message.
Schools Division Superintendent Vilma D. Eda encouraged principals from the different schools in the division to spread the word that learners frequent the library and loan for books they can bring home and return after reading.
Randolf “Randy” Singson, Vice Mayor Atty. Glendale Benzon, and city council were in attendance during the launching and attendance held on May 11, 2026.
The 6.3 Million library implemented by the SDO with the support of the City Government boosts as one of the state of the art being a solar-powered and fully airconditioned library.
“This is a symbol of our shared commitment to education and for the future of our children Biguenos,” Jay Andia, city counselor and chair of the committee on education, said.
