SAN FERNANDO CITY – The Department of Education Regional Office I (DepEd ROI) through the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) awarded employees with exemplary performance during the quarterly Gender and Development Kumustahan and Honors Program held at the Executive Conference Hall on June 11.
Pagwadan (Model) Award, a recognition conferred to officials and employees based on the eight norms of conduct was awarded to Project Development Officer IV, Darius C. Nieto of the ESSD as well as Administrative Aide (AA) VI, Laarni Grace F. Madayag and AAI Federico A. Flores of the Admin Division.
Rimat (Spark) Award, which entails an appreciation of the employee’s innovative and creative ideas that have direct impact to the RO was presented to Liezl P. Mique, Juner Windel M. Valdez, Johnson P. Sunga, Gina A. Amoyen, and Arabella May Z. Soniega, all an Education Program Supervisor (EPS).
Alisto (Prudence) Award, which is based on the prompt, complete, and efficient submission of reports was likewise given to Administrative Assistant I Claire L. Sibulo and Statistician I Joey M. Pimentel of the PPRD; SEPS Holden Kirby M. Valdez, HRDD; Dentist III, Dr. Marjorie G. Pudin, ESSD; and Administrative Officer V Rowie Red N. Balanon, Asset Management Section.
Namnama (Hope) Award was as well granted to, EPS Arabella May Z. Soniega and Teaching Aid Specialist Alvin I. Orine, both from the CLMD for successfully finishing their post-graduate degrees.
They were commended by the clients, superiors, and top management for their courtesy, promptness, efficiency, and dedication to duty.
Another On-The Spot Award is the PILU Award or Gawad ng Regional Director Award in recognition for the “extra-ordinary achievement” of an employee for the functional division’s productivity, improvement in the operations or the welfare of co-employees.
Meanwhile, the 2021 guidelines for the Search for ONE for Region FIRST or Outstanding Employees of the Regional Office 1 was also presented during the event.
ONE stands for Optimal Network for Employees while FIRST is Flexible, Innovative, Reflective, Skillful, and Team Player as characteristics of employees in public office.
Being ONE shall be explicitly manifested at the regional office in order to realize its desire to be FIRST in everything, according to Juner Windel Valdez, education program supervisor from the HRDD.
Said search is open to all employees, permanent, contract of service or job order.
Another is the Search for Outstanding Rookie of the Year (Gawad Gregorio del Pilar Award) for neophyte employees who are demonstrating outstanding and high-level enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivation.
Meanwhile, an Equal Opportunity Principle Policy in all aspects of human resource management and development is now established in the regional office.
DepEd RO1 ensures that there is no place for discrimination in the workplace and the values of equality and justice shall always be observed.
