The Department of Education (DepEd) in the regional office initiates a series of Quality Management System (QMS) workshops and training for the 14 Schools Division Offices (SDOs).
A training on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 guidelines was recently conducted by the QMS secretariat and the Training and Advocacy Team (TAT) at the National Educator’s Academy of the Philippines in the region (NEAP-R1).
The three-day training held on February 25-27 was attended by the Quality Management Representative (QMR) of the SDO and representatives of their TAT and Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team.
Earlier in February, a workshop on process mapping and risk-based quality mapping for the SDOs, was also rolled-out.
Meanwhile, rescheduled for June 10 to 11 is a write shop on the National QMS Management Review which will also be attended by the representatives of their QMS core teams.
The institutionalization of One DepEd, One QMS for the different SDOs aims to ensure that all the processes within and across all governance levels are systematically interconnected for a better provision of quality basic education services.
