San Fernando City, La Union – Regional Director (RD) Tolentino G. Aquino is a “man of few words but a man of action.”  This was how outgoing RD Malcolm S. Garma described the incoming RD of the Department of Education (DepEd) Region I.

Director Garma articulated that RD Aquino possesses the greatest experience among all the Assistant Regional Directors (ARDs) in the entire country. For this, he was chosen as the top priority to take the responsibility as the head of DepEd Region 1.

He told that RD Aquino served as ARD in Region V and in the National Capital Region (NCR). He manifested exemplary performance in these regions where he worked.

“Region I is very fortunate to have a very hardworking Regional Director,” Garma praised.

Meanwhile, as he bid farewell to the personnel of DepEd Regional Office 1, Director Garma expressed his desire to return in the Region after his term of office in NCR.

He characterized the DepEd family in the Region as courteous, respectful, and accommodating in terms of support and time.

The newly appointed director of NCR also extended his gratitude and best wishes to the outgoing ARD of DepEd Region for his utmost support and to the Schools Division Superintendents (SDSs) and Assistant SDSs including their families in their respective divisions. ARD Jessie L. Amin was assigned to serve as ARD in DepEd Region V, the Bicol Region.
