SAN FERNANDO CITY – The Department of Education Regional Office I (DepEd ROI) welcomed the new employees and integrated them into the organization in an orientation program held at DepEd ROI Conference Hall on February 27.

 “The new employees need to know their specific roles,” DepEd Supervisor Maria Teresa M. Bautista said as she explained to the participants the importance of engaging in professional development programs.

  Twenty new employees from the different functional divisions were oriented on their rights and roles.

  Kathleen May M. Bautista, a human resource specialist, discussed with the new hires the history, goals, and objectives of DepEd ROI.

 “New employees need to know the organization for them to also know what they can contribute,” she added.

 The activity was spearheaded by the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) in order to keep an effective and productive workforce. It was cofacilitated by Darius C. Nieto of the Education Support Services Division; Catherine N. Esquida, Finance Division; Editha C. Tolentino, Administrative Division; and Herminia F. Anwoju, Administrative Division.

 HRDD Chief Dinah C. Bonao said her team would “keep track of the professional development of the new employees for them to grow in the organization.”
