SAN FERNANDO CITY (October 8, 2020) The Department of Education (DepEd) will pay tribute to the more than 857,000 educators nationwide in the culminating activity of this year’s National Teachers Month celebration, which will be held at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines Region I, on October 10, 2020.

The recognition is based on the teachers’ continued passion, nobility, and heartfelt pursuit of their duties and responsibilities to serve the learners and the community.

In line with this, the DepEd Region I, host of the National event, has ensured that every part of the program is all set prior to the conclusion of the annual event.

As the prestigious yearly occasion aims to honor the learner’s second parents, Regional Director Tolentino G. Aquino and Assistant Regional Director Ronald B. Castillo directed the different committees organized for the purpose to make the program more meaningful and guarantee a smooth sequence of the happenings.

They instructed that the preliminaries which entail the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Region I Hymn, will not only feature the National heroes and adjudged as heroes in Region I but also the scenic places and tourist attractions with due regard of their educational, cultural, and historical value.

They as well prepared pedagogical inspiring stories that can be viewed through audio visual presentations featuring the heroism, devotion, as well as the dedication of the mentors from the different Regions in the delivery of lifelong learning in all aspects of life.

To bolster the determination of the other mentors, they paved the way to recognizing the efforts done by the Global Teacher Awardees as well as the Metrobank awardees and how they overcome the encountered educational challenges and hardships.

Their strength will also be corroborated by prayers for teachers, serenade from local artist, and the presentation of intermission numbers that will be done by elite performers.

To show that the teachers are not only good at teaching and are bestowed with additional talents, the viewers will be given the opportunity to watch the conduct of the “Teachers Got Talent.”

To make the event more exciting, the spectators will also have the chance to win the much-needed learning resources, through a raffle draw.

The message coming from Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones will serve as the main highlight of the National celebration.
