Human resource personnel from the Regional Office (RO) and schools division offices (SDOs) vowed to increase the number of nominees to the Honor Awards Program during a regional orientation held at the Department of Education Regional Office I (DepEd ROI) Conference Hall on February 10.
Regional Director Tolentino G. Aquino challenged the SDOs to produce a high number of nominees since DepEd is the biggest government institution.
“I urge the SDOs to send more nominees DepEd has been working hard in the name of public service,” Aquino said.
Meanwhile, Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director Hedy Hose B. Lardizabal, also present during the orientation, said nominations are open for Lingkod Bayan Award, Pagasa Award, and Dangal ng Bayan Award.
“We already have national awardees from the Region, particularly from DepED, and we would like to continue on the momentum,” Lardizabal added.
Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) Chief Dinah C. Bonao explained that the activity primarily aimed to guide the prospective nominees in the preparation of their documentary credentials.
