SAN FERNANDO CITY – The drivers from all DepEd offices in the region underwent the first phase of skills training at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines Region I, City of San Fernando, La Union, on March 12, 2020.

The training, sponsored by the uHumHuhhhjHuman Resource Development Division (HRDD), was conducted simultaneously with the Management Committee (ManCom) Conference.

 The drivers were oriented on the critical aspects of their functions in their respective offices.

 Education Program Supervisor Maria Teresa M. Bautista emphasized among the participants that their role is indispensable in the achievement of the goals of the Region.

 “Without drivers, a number of DepEd programs cannot succeed,” she added.

  The participants were also taught the basics of financial management and stress management.

  Dinah C. Bonao, HRDD chief, said the training would have its second phase during the next ManCom Conference.

 “We will make sure that all employees, including drivers, undergo a professional development program,” Bonao added.
