SAN FERNANDO CITY – Federated Parents-Teachers Association (FPTA) President Benjie Rullepa of the Bacnotan National High School (BNHS), La Union Schools Division Office shares best practices during the virtual National School Opening Day Program, September 13.
Consistent in providing support to the school, before and during the pandemic, his administration empowered the parents and guardians towards affording assistance to the teachers in the successful implementation of blended learning, to the benefit of the learners.
“To address the problem of the mobile connectivity of learners, the school and the FPTA initiated the provision of Learning Online Assistance Drive project,” Rullepa said.
He added, “we are also active in supporting the literacy program and mobile library to the barangays of the local government unit of Bacnotan.”
Rullepa as well stated that the BNHS is among the schools in the province, which is included as recipients of tablets from the provincial government.
A total of 135 learners from Grades 3, 6, 8, 10 and 11 in BNHS will receive the tablets to aid them in the online learning.
Atty. Donato Balderas, Jr, La Union Division Superintendent, said that apart from the 4,000 pieces of tablets distributed to the learners, more than 1,000 teachers also received theirs recently.
The theme for this year’s Oplan Balik Eskwela is, “OBE 2021: Bayanihan para sa Ligtas Na Balik Eskwela.”
