“The effort we made is not just for purposes of getting the Certification but ultimately to improve our processes and a matter of getting things done but how we get things smoothly moving and the maturity level is increasing from day one until we all have embraced the business processes,” Wilfredo E. Cabral, Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development and DepEd Quality Management Representative, said in his message during the grand closing meeting for the external audit which was attended online by the 15 regional offices, March 6, 2024.

He added, “This is just the beginning of a continuous improvement of the organization and ourselves in ensuring that we deliver the quality of service that we are expected to provide.”

DepEd Region I and 14 other regional offices are recommended for ISO 9001:2015 certification for the provision of quality basic education, by the TUV NORD Philippines.

Niel Patrick Ordiales of TUV Nord, lead the Stage 1 External Audit, held on February 6, and Stage 2, held on February 22-23 in DepEd Region I.
